I’m a Florida girl. Born and raised in Coral Gables (which is part of Miami.) I got a Fine Art degree from Southern Methodist University in 1988. It took me almost 15 years to build up my confidence to pursue art as a full time career. After I sold five paintings at only my second artshow, I was hooked! It was such a thrill to hear people get excited about my paintings.....and buy them!!! I met my husband, Russ Taylor, who is also an artist, at an artshow and we got married in 2004. Traveling the country doing artshows soon proved to be a hard life....mostly because I missed our dogs so much. In 2006, with some encouragement from a friend, I started painting pet portraits This allowed me to stay home and paint and make money and never have to leave our dogs alone again! God has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams! I couldn’t ask for anything more. And so, this explains my life motto:
			“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
